As a studio production manager and amateur metalsmith, Madeline’s creative project, DTMG is a cauldron of practices in textile design and wearable art. Jewelry made by Madeline.DTMG is hand-sculpted to incorporate mineral textures and playful references that are juicy, molten, spiky, and earthen. The softness found in unlocking sentimental memories as well as the theme of celestial excavation are main sources of exploration in her work.
Designed and made by Denver artist Madeline Cohen, Madeline.DTMG is a synthesis of metal-smithing practices and archival jewelry aesthetics to produce tactile, textural experiences in metal. Madeline began casting her own work in 2024, making one-of-a-kind jewelry from silver, brass, and precious gemstones.
